The 2.53 for Print Artist will limit error messages during program
operation, allow the Graphics Grabber to update more rapidly, warn you
if your CD ROM graphics disk is not in place, and support two sources of
third party GFX library files.

To use the patch..
1. Copy the PAWIN253.EXE file into your PA directory.
2. Exit out of Windows, if you're in it, then go to your C:\PA directory.
3. Type PAWIN253 and press <Enter>.
4. When the patch finishes running, restart Windows.
5. The first time you restart Print Artist after installing the patch disk,
HOLD DOWN the CTRL + SHIFT keys and double click on the Print Artist icon.
Continue to depress the CTRL + SHIFT keys (even if you get an error message)
until Print Artist 2.5 begins to recount and update the Graphics Grabber.
This will allow the newly updated Print Artist program to recognize the
graphics on your system. (Make sure your Bonus Graphics CD is in your CD
drive.)
6. Double click on the icon normally to start Print Artist the next time.

Setup for 2 third party GFX Library Sources
Start a new project in Print Artist. Click on FILE and then on
DIRECTORY SETUP. The two items at the bottom of the directory list are
Third Party (*.GFX) and More Third Party (*.GFX). We recommend that you
assign Third Party to the C:\PA directory, and the More Third Party to
your CD ROM or to any other hard drive directory. Once the Graphics
Grabber has been updated, Third Party GFX libraries from both sources
will be available. (Jumbo CD users: We do not recommend that you ever
setup Print Artist so it accesses all 670+ GFX libraries on that disk.
Program performance will degrade sharply if you attempt to do so.)

Technical Note about memory
This version of Print Artist can detect whether or not Windows has enough
memory free for successful Print Artist operation. If Print warns that
"Print Artist Requires More Virtual Memory to Run", then you will need to
increase the amount of memory Windows can use by changing Swap-File
settings. (See the chapter Managing Memory and Performance in your Windows
manual for a more detailed explanation of Virtual Memory and Swap Files.)
