A.  Installing the Patch

  To update version 1.00 of Football Pro '96 to version 1.01, 
  copy all files from the patch disk into the directory for the
  game (i.e. C:\SIERRA\FBPRO96). Change to the game directory,
  type UPDATE and press <Enter>.

B.  Bugs Fixed in Version 1.01

This patch disk makes the following revisions to Front 
Page Sports: Football Pro '96, version 1.00:

*  Corrected the problem with 30 team custom leagues where occasionally
   a team would play the same team twice.

*  Corrected the problem where crowd sounds would stop after picking a 
   play.

*  Corrected excessive punts/field goal blocks.

*  Corrected lockup when trying to watch a computer vs. computer league
   game.

*  Corrected stats.c assertion failed problem.

*  Corrected play clock not functioning correctly at the start of the 
   second half.

*  Corrected problem of not being able to recognize the FB:Pro 96 CD when
   the CD-Rom drive letter was greater than "O:".

*  Corrected scrolling crash message that occurs when trying to view the
   introduction on some machines.  If you continue to experience problems
   with the introduction try setting your sound device to "no digital
   digital device" in soundset.

C.  Updating Plays, Plans and Profiles from Football Pro '95 for use with
    Football Pro '96.

*  Game plans containing references to STOCK plays from Football Pro '95
   will show up with "play not found!" messages in Football Pro '96.

   Solution:  In order to use STOCK plays from football Pro '95 in Football
              Pro '96, use Football Pro '95 to save all of the STOCK plays
              you wish as custom plays.  Then run the PPPUPDAT utility to
              update these custom plays to Football Pro '96 format.

*  Game asserts with logic.c: 212 message when you use custom special teams
   plays from Football Pro '95 in Football Pro '96.

   Solution:  The special teams plays in Football Pro '96 are very similiar
              to the special teams plays from Football Pro '95.  Edit the
              special teams plays from Football Pro '96 to match the edits
              you have made to the ones from Football Pro '95.  Football 
              Pro '96 will not work properly with customized special teams
              plays from Football Pro '95.

D.  Additional notes about this patch.

   Some users have been reporting problems with lockups during game play
   on machines with 8 megabytes of RAM.  This patch may improve playability
   on these machines.  However, some 8 megabyte RAM systems may experience
   increased lockups with this patch.  We are working on addressing this
   problem but due to the variety of computer configurations available we
   do not have a complete solution at this time.

   We are looking into other reported problems that this patch
   does not address.  If you are experiencing a problem which is not 
   addressed above please send an e-mail message describing the problem
